KCM Corporation

History

1936 The company was established under the name of Kyoritsu Materials Co., Ltd. It started as a supplier, providing the following companies( Noritake Co.,Ltd., TOTO Ltd. and NGK insulators Ltd. ) with raw materials. At the same time, the company started refining the Kaolin.
1946 Established Amakusa Mining.
1947 Changed its name to Kyoritsu Ceramics Materials Co., Ltd.
1949 Entered the Nagoya stock market.
1961 Started dealing with import, production and sale of "KYORIX" (a synthetic powder used for ceramic capacitors) at the Minato factory.
1969 Started dealing with the import, production and sale of "Colemanite" ( a raw material used in glass fiber).
1970 Seto Factory began the operation.(Started Refining silica raw materials)
1973 Grinder Factory began the operation.(Started grinding of Colemanite)
1986 KZ Factory began the operation.(Started production of zirconia powder)
1988 Construction of Yatomi Logistic Center (1st stage ) was accomplished.
1989 Took part in the World Design Exposition as a member of the Morimura Group.
1990 Taiwan KCM Co., Ltd. branch was established in Taipei, dealing with ceramic and industrial materials.
1992 Acquired factory property in Shimada Industrial Complex in Ureshino-cho, Mie Prefecture. Established KYORIX Mie Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary producing electronic ceramic powder.
2000 Changed the company name to KCM Corporation.
2001 We became a subsidiary of Noritake Co.,Ltd by Noritake having acquired 50.23% of our stocks.
2012 We became a 100% subsidiary of Noritake Co.,Ltd by a stock swap.
